Ron J. Schmid
Lead Director, HHL Holdings, Inc.

Ron Schmid is the Lead Director of HHL Holdings, Inc. Mr. Schmid is a founding shareholder and founding director of Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc. and has served as a director since its inception. Ron has been a mortgage and commercial banking executive in Hawaii for more than 25 years. He was previously chairman and CEO of Hawaii HomeLoans that he founded along with others in 2001. Mr. Schmid led that firm until its acquisition by Central Pacific Bank in 2005. Mr. Schmid previously had served as Senior Vice President of Bank of Hawaii, where he led that institution to a dominant market position in mortgage banking. Later at Bank of Hawaii as Executive Vice President of the Hawaii Market, Mr. Schmid was responsible for retail banking, electronic banking, marketing, credit cards, insurance, and both commercial and residential mortgage lending. Prior to that, Mr. Schmid was President of Honolulu Mortgage Company, where he built a small mortgage banking firm into the state’s largest mortgage lender with a servicing portfolio of more two billion dollars.

Prior to his banking career, Mr. Schmid was a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte and Touche and served as President of Auto & Equipment Leasing of Hawaii. He is the past president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Hawaii, the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, The Rotary Club of Honolulu, and the Friends of the Children’s Advocacy Center.

Thomas C. Zimmerman
Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of HHL Holdings, Inc.

Thomas Zimmerman is the Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of HHL Holdings, Inc.  Mr. Zimmerman is a founding shareholder and a founding director of Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc. and is the current Chairman of Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc. Mr. Zimmerman is a 25-year mortgage banking professional with lending experience at Honolulu Mortgage Company, Bank of Hawaii, and Central Pacific HomeLoans (formerly known as Hawaii HomeLoans). Prior to founding Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc., he was the President of Central Pacific HomeLoans and a Senior Vice President of Central Pacific Bank. Mr. Zimmerman was a founder of Hawaii HomeLoans and served as that company’s President and as a Director until the company was acquired by Central Pacific Bank. During his tenure at HHL Holdings, Inc., Tom has led the expansion into new businesses, such as long-term property management, short-term property management in Hawaii and in Oregon and the outsource services business.

Mr. Zimmerman is a proven leader and manager with an excellent reputation among the state’s Realtors, developers and business leaders. Tom is a past director of the Building Industry Association of Hawaii, Le Jardin Academy, HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support), Kainalu Little League, Friends of Hawaii State Art Museum, Kailua American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and the Punahou Parent Advancement Council. Mr. Zimmerman recently concluded his term as the Chairman of the Hawaii Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and continues as a Board member of the Hawaii YPO. He is an advisor to a private foundation that grants funds to Hawaii’s public elementary schools.

G. Markus Polivka
President of Monarch Insurance Services, Inc.

G. Markus Polivka is a director of HHL Holdings, Inc. Mr. Polivka was one of the founders of Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc. Mr. Polivka is the President of Monarch Insurance Services, Inc., a Honolulu-based full-service insurance brokerage company. Monarch also has affiliated agencies in California and Oregon. Mr. Polivka previously served as an outside director of Hawaii HomeLoans, Inc. where he gained a solid background and knowledge of mortgage banking. He has served on the boards of a number of for-profit entities.

Mr. Polivka is very active in community organizations in Hawaii serving on the Boards of Directors of the USS Missouri Memorial Association, the Chamber of Commerce (currently serving as a Vice Chair), The St. Andrew’s Schools, and Mid-Pacific Schools. Throughout his career as an insurance professional, Mr. Polivka has become an expert in the insuring of medical entities. In the past. Mr. Polivka has served as a director of numerous community organizations including serving as the Chair of the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, Ahahui Koa Anuenue, the Hawaii Humane Society, and the State of Hawaii Board of Medical Examiners.

Joseph N. Faulhaber
President of Arctic Mortgage Insurance & Aloha Mortgage Insurance

Joe Faulhaber is a director of HHL Holdings, Inc. Mr. Faulhaber was elected to the Board of Directors of Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc. as an independent director in June of 2010. He is the co-owner of Arctic Mortgage Insurance which is a private mortgage insurance agency, representing the national mortgage insurer, Radian in Alaska, Hawaii and Guam. The agency’s agreement with Radian is currently in a “run-out” mode and terminates in 2018. Mr. Faulhaber is also the founder and owner of Realty, Inc. formerly an Alaska-based full-service real estate brokerage firm that now operates as a consulting and mining business. In addition to his experience as a Realtor, consultant, and mortgage insurance executive, Mr. Faulhaber has had experience in real estate development and general business management. As President of Aloha Mortgage Insurance, Mr. Faulhaber has worked extensively with the management team of Honolulu HomeLoans, Inc. for more than 10 years and thus is familiar with mortgage lending in Hawaii.
Mr. Faulhaber serves as an independent member of the Board of Directors of the Denali Group, a Pacific Northwest-based moving and storage company. He also serves as a Trustee of the Greater Fairbanks Hospital Foundation and as a member of Providence Hospital Advisory Board of Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Faulhaber served as a lay member of the Board of Governors of the Alaska Bar Association, having been appointed to the position by former Alaskan governors, Walter Hickle, Tony Knowles, and Frank Murkowski. Mr. Faulhaber is also a member of the greater Fairbanks North Star Borough Economic Development Task Force.
